We've been awarded a show in Las Vegas to open February 4th, 2005. This will be a group show with members from The Potato Eaters, Jeffrey Allen Price, and the Belgian Potato Eaters. More details as they become availalbe.

The Potato Evolution

The potato just won't die. The Potato Eaters art party we had in January of 2002 was great; more successful than I ever imagined really. But when it was over, I thought it was done...on to bigger and better things. But a few months after the show, I got an email from a Michiel Brink from Rotterdam, who stumbled upon our website. His band, also called The Potato Eaters, is made up of graphic designers and painters. We shared a lot of the same philosophies about art and life. And of course, we dug the potato. We talked about working on a collaborative project in the future...maybe a book or an art show...and things continued to stew.

Then in the summer of 2003, Michiel emailed me information about a POTATO FESTIVAL being held on Long Island on September 20, 2003. I researched it and holy crapola, the artist producing the show, Jeffrey Price, is actually an artist originally from Springfield, Missouri. We emailed. The potato grew.

So the Rotterdam Potato Eaters are heading to Long Island to play the festival. And Nina, from the St. Louis contigent, is heading to Long Island to meet our new friends. And hopefully, we can bring the Potato Festival/Potato Eaters to St. Louis in 2004.

This website is being launched in an effort to unite these three potato-lovin' art groups so we can collectively spread the word about art, music, and potatoes. The players to date are:
MOPOTS (The St. Louis/MO Potato Eaters)
ROTPOTS (The Rotterdam/Netherland Potato Eaters)
LONGPOTS (The Long Island/NY Potato Eaters)
